About

So you want to know a bit more about the man behind the blog eh? Well, you are in the right spot. First and foremost, I’m a husband and a father of a beautiful boy who was born in March, 2009.  I’ve been wanting to start a blog for several years, but there always seemed to be something more important, or some excuse not to try it.  Now that I am a father, and have even less free time than ever in my life, this seemed like the perfect time to start.

For more than ten years I’ve been immersed in the world of marketing. In the last couple of years, I’ve realized the reason I’m attracted to marketing, is that it involves the study of people…in some respects, marketers are modern day anthropologists, studying the current habits of the generations surrounding us. And when it comes down to it, good marketing should always intersect us in our lives, when it counts the most. This blog hopefully is a window into what’s done right, and what’s done wrong in the hope that we can create better intersections in the future.

A big thanks has to go out to my beautiful bride Brianne – she puts up with my quirky tendencies, and has the unique ability to simultaneously challenge and inspire me to step out of my comfort zone.  I also have to thank my brother Brad who has been on my case to start a blog for awhile now (he has a great blog here on literature and writing), my sister-in-law Susan for the technical assistance with this blog, and for my good friend Corey who forces me to look beyond the horizon at what else is possible.
